No cheap ecumenecism. As the Pope himself has said, there’s little value in theological “debate” with Muslims, but conversations based on shared values are not just desirable, but vital to the future of the world. This sort of thing is a great starting point for such dialogue. There’s very little there that any sane Christian (or Jew) should be able to object to, theologically or just in terms of simple common sense.
